Fragments of the Past - The Roleplaying Game - Collector's Edition

Fragments of the Past is a rules-light roleplaying game set in a Bronze-Age world evoking the atmosphere of ancient tales and poems of the archaic Mediterranean, where conflicts are resolved on a roll of a d10 or a d100. 

Experience the great tragedies, deeds, and ambitions of larger-than-life characters, dwelling in a world of sacred places and untamed wilderness. Pray and live according to the ancient customs of long-forgotten civilizations, if you dare. 

Epithets, Passions, and Gifts define characters: they describe past experiences, and torments, inspiring narrative plots and interacting directly with the rules. 

You can be a “Lotophagus“, a “Fallen Prince of a distant Thalassocracy“, an “Heir of an Ancient Warrior Tradition“, or “Possessed by Madness”. 

Fortuna points and Hybris points describe your relationship with the Immortal Gods and the extent of transgressions that you will inevitably commit during your life. 

The setting is inspired by a sense of wonder and nostalgia for the fierce beauty of the archaic past: think Homer meets Tolkien. 

The manual is enhanced with a rich collection of story prompts to inspire and aid improvisation, like Talismans, sacred processions, ritual duels, shipwrecks, and joyous banquets.

Fragments of the Past è un gioco di ruolo ambientato in un’immaginaria Età del Bronzo che evoca le atmosfere degli antichi miti e dei poemi del Mediterraneo arcaico. La presenza di un regolamento leggero consente di risolvere rapidamente conflitti attraverso il tiro di un d10 o di un d100. 

Vivi le grandi tragedie, le gesta e le ambizioni di personaggi straordinari che vivono in un mondo ricco di luoghi sacri e terre selvagge. Prega e vivi secondo le antiche usanze di civiltà dimenticate da tempo, se ne hai il coraggio. 

I personaggi sono caratterizzati dai loro Epiteti, Passioni e Doni che ne raccontano il passato e i tormenti, ispirando intrecci narrativi e interagendo direttamente con le regole del gioco. 

Puoi essere un “Lotofago“, “Principe decaduto di una lontana Talassocrazia”, “Erede di un’antica tradizione guerriera“, e “Posseduto dalla Follia“. 

Punti Fortuna e punti Hybris descrivono il favore presso gli Dèi Immortali e l’entità delle trasgressioni che inevitabilmente i mortali commettono durante la loro effimera vita. 

L’ambientazione è infusa di meraviglia e nostalgia per la feroce bellezza del passato arcaico: immagina una fusione tra Omero e Tolkien. 

Il manuale è arricchito da un'ampia raccolta di spunti narrativi per sviluppare le tue cronache e aiutare l’improvvisazione: Talismani, processioni sacre, duelli rituali, storie di naufragi e di gioiosi banchetti.
